So we've had a rough past couple of weeks. My dad got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, stage 4. It is a horrible, horrible disease and we all have been working through a litany of various emotions as you can imagine. It is inoperable, and terminal, but he is about to start chemo, which will hopefully buy us some time to get in some more moments like the ones below. The bucket list has started: and we started it off with a bang. Got the whole gang together for golf at Colonial the other day. The kids had a blast and the look on my dad's face was priceless. Surprisingly, we all made it 9 holes and made some great memories in the process. We love you so much Daddy!
this might be my new favorite picture of my dad!
Zoe had to keep the scoring legit, of course
and a new favorite of my mom too!
Next on the list: the Fort Worth Rodeo and then hopefully Opening Day of the Rangers....anyone have a Rangers hookup that could help us out in that department?!?
Many prayers for your family during this time. So sorry to hear about your father.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your daddy. Sending you love and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThe smile on your dad's face definitely shows how happy he is! Great move on taking your dad on a vacation; having a good laugh and bonding with all of you is healthy for him. Anyway, your dad looks tough, and I'm sure he will give a good fight on his illness. Stay strong, and I'm wishing for his fast recovery.

I'm certain this golf outing had been good for your dad, especially for his health. And it would definitely be a great favor to him if you do this more often. Physical activities enhances our physical condition, but the effect doubles, and even beyond that, when you do it with your loved ones. Faulkwood Shores Golf Club
