Is it Spring Break already?

Because it sure did feel like it...this is what our weekend consisted of. Kinda awesome, also kinda frightening b/c it was almost hot at some points. But baby girl sure did like all the outdoor time.

1 year old

How is it possible that our baby Z is one year old already? Time has literally flown and we have all learned so much this past year. It still amazes me how much babies learn in so little time and I cannot wait to see what this next year brings us.

At 12 months, Zoe:

- has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on bottom

- is standing and has walked a few steps but not quite taken off yet

- eats pretty much anything you give her

- loves music, especially when Daddy is playing it

- has had 4 ear infections, and hopefully we are past the point of having the tube surgery

- has gained 13 pounds and 9 inches

- her favorite tricks are "arms up" and "oh no", clapping, waving, feeding Maggie from the highchair

Her official stats are: 21 lbs, 8.5 oz (60%) and 29 inches (50%); head 46 cm (75%)

My teachers at school say Mommy and Daddy are going to have their hands full in the next months....no idea why!

1st Birthday Party

On Sunday, we had all our families over to celebrate Zoe's 1st birthday a few days early.

She got an awesome new chair and rocked her tutu.

She got some fun new toys.

Got a little overwhelmed at times....

but for the most part had a grand 'ol time!

except she didn't really dig the cake.

Christmas- Part 3

We ended the day out at the lake...ate my dad's famous gumbo for dinner, played some killer games of Jenga, drank lots of wine, and got to watch the kids fight over all the new toys....pretty awesome!

Don't worry Zoe...few more months and you'll totally be able to take Parker down ;)

After we got all the kiddos to bed, Dad fired up the firepit and we all sat outside, had a nightcap, and stayed up late talking and laughing. Best Christmas we've had in a long time!

Christmas- Part 2

Christmas morning- stocking opening

This year we started our new tradition of being at our house on Xmas morning just the 3 of us... it was awesome! No rushing to get ready, no rushing from one house to the other. Just a few quiet hours at our place on our schedule...loved it! Taylor and I got to put out the Santa gifts the night before and anxiously awaited Z's first Christmas. Although she had no clue where everything came from, she sure didn't mind having all the new things to play with!

We went to Carter and Anne's at 10:30. Zoe slept through brunch and woke up just in time for more presents.
