17 months was kinda a tough month for us....we survived a bout of bronchitis, and once we got over that cough, we developed roseola. What does that mean you ask? Well it means Zoe had 105 degree temperature for almost 4 days in a row, then the fever broke as mysteriously quick as it came on and poor Z broke out in a rash all over her tummy and back. So sad....I hate it when she gets sick. I think that is one of the toughest things about being a parent. Watching them get sick and not knowing how to help....not knowing if it's serious, if you need to call a doctor or rush her to the ER, or just tough it out and put your big girl panties on for a few days and hope it goes away.
But we survived, and as of the last few weeks have been doing great! We seem to have moved past the little separation anxiety problem that we were having at morning dropoff at school. She's finally used to her new class and now runs straight to the playground and asks her teacher for bubbles- her new favorite discovery. She is talking up a storm. We even get a few sentences now and then, like "That is Mommy." or "There's Maggie." pretty exciting, I know...
Here's a few pics of some of the stuff we've been up to lately:
eating peach ice cream with Daddy at the Parker County Peach Festival
"sharing" her snack with Maggie after school the other day- notice she has pigtails- love it!
and here she is obliterating a piece of watermelon at dinner....she's definitely my child. That girl can eat!
